The acoustic ISABELLA (Sixth single off Sauti Sol’s upcoming album “Live and Die in Afrika”) – is a bonafide ballad, and truly represents Sauti Sol’s soulful side and prowess in songwriting and execution.

The story line of the song flaunts a youthful love, which knows no age, race or religion. The lyrics are bound to resonate with young people: “Yolo! Yolo! You only live once so, and me I want to have some fun, vunja mifupa kama meno iko, up and away we go…Tonight we are young and high and in love.

Anybody still having doubts as to who the king of Kenyan rap music is? Well, better brace yourselves for Octopizzo’s reign as the emperor.

In as much as folks may still squabble over Octopizzo being the king, one thing they can’t make noise about is the rappers’ success, elegance and flair.

We exclusively broke news to you last year regarding Octopizzo’s upcoming projects with international figures – one of them being Dj Mustard – the mind behind mega hits such as Tyga’s ‘Rack City’ and Breezy’s ‘Loyal’.

Many will agree Kendrick Lamar is better than Jay Z in spitting vibes but Beyonce’s husband is still the big man that everyone looks up to in the world’s hip hop.

Same case may apply to Octo. His success can’t be compared with that of any other Kenyan rapper. Its not a coincidence that the Legendary Johny Vigeti working under Ken Ring (one of the most experienced producers in the game at the moment) deliberately avoids mentioning Octopizzo and goes on to mention Khaligraph and Rabbit in unfriendly lyrics of his much talked about single ‘Simba’.

Late last year Octopizzo had gigs in Europe and most notably conquered Paris where he shot his next Video, Octo is yet to release the video which he describes as a dope song shot in the French capital.

Dubbed ‘Mustard On The Beat’, Namba Nane’s new song is definitely a club bunger. The full version isn’t out yet but the teaser sure gives a lot of imagination on the full package.

He made the French dance to his latest track.

United for a cause! Africa’s finest voices have teamed up to start a campaign geared towards protecting African heritage. The musicians are seeking to attract the attention of the world by using the most potent arsenal at their disposal; music.

‘Tusimame’, a gripping song that brings together an attractive mesh of Africa’s most inspiring artists; Juliani (Kenya), Vanessa Mdee (Tanzania), Emmanuel Jal (South Sudan) and Syssi Mananga (Congo-Brazzaville) was officially launched yesterday at the UN grounds.

The song highlights the importance of protecting African elephants whose population has been dwindling due to increased poaching.

It’s a result of these unjustified jumbo killings that the quartet decided to script an anthem that they would be using to ferry their message the world over.

The four artists yesterday officially kick started their initiative by launching their song in style. As usual, Juliani never disappoints on stage so be sure it was a dope performance.
