As the owner of Capital FM where he also has a rock show stint, he plays a major role in the management of the urban station. With his role comes appreciation for the hard work he’s put in.

The head of Centum Investment Limited was feted as the CEO of the year at the 2015 Africa CEO Forum Awards. Dr Chris Kirubi’s company has in the recent past gotten the go-ahead to develop a 960 megawatt coal powerplant in Lamu. The project will cost Ksh. 164 billion.

His other ventures include a 100 acre real estate project in Runda which will include a mall and residential apartments. It is set to be complete in June this year. Centum reported a 37.8 percent growth in 2014, which represented a half year net profit of 1.23 billion shillings.

This year, the net gain went up to 1.89 billion shillings, representing a 58.8 percent growth from a 1.19 billion shillings earning.
